Among the world’s most celebrated coffee-producing regions, Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe is held in almost mystical regard.
Why we love this coffee
It is here that many believe coffee was first discovered, more than a millennium ago. And it is this area’s crops that inspire coffee epiphanies for so many of us; one sip of Yirgacheffe can be an unforgettable step into a richer relationship with the precious seeds of the arabica plant.
At the heart of this coffee-loving culture is the Chelelektu washing station, serving 650 farms and employing 450 community members during peak season. In this lot they’ve given us an inspired glimpse into a world profoundly shaped by the pursuit of extraordinary coffee. Elegant and floral, beautifully bright and alluringly aromatic, this is a cup that tells the story of a thousand-year love affair.
