Rooted in centuries-old coffee tradition, the Cajamarca region in Peru produces some of the world’s finest coffee.
Why we love this coffee
One co-op in San Ignacio, Unión y Fe, truly exemplifies the region’s pride and passion for the bean. A Unión y Fe member farmer introduced drying sheds to preserve a coffee crop’s consistency, establishing this simple, yet highly effective method of processing in the region.
Member Horacio Neyra says, “I produce quality coffee and thus improve our quality of life.” This commitment to outstanding coffee along with continual economic and environmental betterment is manifested in the co-op’s name—meaning “Union and Faith”—as well as in this exceptional lot.
About Starbucks Reserve® coffee
Our constant travels around the world take us in search of small-lot coffees that are distinctive enough to earn our Starbucks Reserve® label. Each coffee is one-of-a-kind—sourced from small coffee-growing regions in Latin America, Africa and Asia / Pacific Islands.
All Starbucks Reserve® coffees are roasted with care, at our Starbucks Reserve® Roastery and Tasting Room in Seattle, to bring out their peak flavour expression. They are available in limited supply in select Starbucks® stores or delivered to you.
