Assam Glass Teapot by Bodum®, 4-cup
A modern twist on the traditional teapot, the Assam Glass Tea Pot is made from durable, heat-resistant and dishwasher-safe borosilicate glass and features Bodum's innovative tea press system. Its durable plastic filter and dual plunger/lid make it perfect for brewing up to 4 (8 fl oz) cups of loose-leaf tea. Just add hot water, brew to your liking, and then press down on the plunger. The press compresses the tea leaves below the infusion holes in the strainer, completely stopping the brewing process so you don't end up with over-brewed, bitter tea. There's no need to remove the filter, and there's no mess. Beautiful.
How to Prepare
Brewing loose-leaf tea is easy with the Assam.
Simply add your favourite black, green, or herbal tea to the infuser. Pour hot water over the tea, filling the pot. Allow the tea to brew to your liking and then press.
The patented press system separates the tea leaves from the water, completely stopping the brewing process and eliminating bitter tea.
Tea press holds up to 34 fl oz and is perfect for brewing loose teas or tea bags.
Heat-resistant borosilicate glass is durable and dishwasher safe.
Patented system with plastic infuser stops brewing when tea is plunged, so there is no need to remove the infuser.

This is a lovely teapot. It keeps the tea really warm. The infuser easily comes out which makes it incredibly easy to clean. Glad I bought it.
My husband and I purchased a tea infuser from Bodum. This product is very poor. It has serious design flaws. It has a middle stainless steel infuser with a solid bottom and holes just around in the middle. The tea sits at the bottom in the middle of the infuser with a solid bottom and the flavour is weak because where the tea sits it has a solid bottom , no holes, where the flavour of the tea cannot get out. This product is extremely poorly designed, it should have a bottom with holes so the tea leaves sitting at the bottom of the infuser can get the flavour of the tea out in the pot, the side holes that are way up are not enough to infuse the tea properly. The only way to get the flavour out of the infuser properly is to shake the tea pot which one cannot do as it would splash the tea.
