Do I need to do anything to become part of the new Starbucks Rewards program?
If you are a current member of My Starbucks Rewards, you will be automatically transitioned into the new Starbucks Rewards program in April, when it launches. You don’t need to join again. Watch your email and account for the changes. If you are new, you can join here.
How will I earn Stars in the new Starbucks Rewards?
In the new program, instead of receiving just one Star per transaction, you will earn two Stars for every dollar spent on coffee, food, drinks, merchandise, and more when you pay with a registered Starbucks Card at participating Starbucks, Teavana, and Evolution Fresh stores. Taxes, tips, fees, alcohol, donations, and any card-to-card transactions may be excluded.
I shop at store.starbucks.ca or Teavana.ca. Will I still get a Star code with my purchase in the new program?
When you shop online with a registered Starbucks Card or Teavana Card, you will earn 2 Stars per C$ 1 spent, just as you do in the store. [Taxes, fees, such as shipping and handling and gift wrapping, and card-to-card transactions such as a Starbucks Card or Teavana Card purchase may be excluded.]
How will I earn rewards in the new Starbucks Rewards? Will eligible Rewards change?
There are no new changes to Birthday Rewards. If you are a Gold-level member, you will continue to earn Stars toward your free Reward. You will now be eligible for your Reward after collecting 125 Stars – we’re calling it a Star Reward. No coupon will be issued. Just let your barista know you’re ready to redeem your Stars and collect your Reward.
What are Double Star Days?
Monthly Double-Star Days are a new benefit for Gold members. As a Gold member, you will earn double Stars on all eligible purchases when paying with a registered Starbucks Card in a Starbucks, Teavana, or Evolution Fresh store on your Double-Star Day. Every month, we will surprise members with a different day to earn double Stars, so be sure to opt into email to make sure you know when your day is coming!
Taxes, tips, fees, alcohol, donations, and any card-to-card transactions may be excluded. Purchases made online are not eligible.
What will happen in the new program if I spend an uneven amount? Do I get credit for the change?
Yes. To make sure you are fully rewarded for your purchase, you will earn partial Stars. To track Stars and purchases, please view your History at www.starbucks.ca/rewards or in the mobile app.
